The cream of the plantation listed counters are United Plantation (one of the most efficient plantation), IOI(Most integrated plantation counter), Asiatic (growth theme), KLK (consistently proven itself to be well managed and profitable) and probably Batu Kawan(Good value and the holding Coy of KLK.
You may want to wait until end of this month to see the listing of Synergy Drive which is a merger of Sime Darby, Golden Hope and Guthrie to invest in the biggest plantation counter.
IOI, KLK and to a certain extent Asiatic are generally liquid counters but BKawan and United Plantation is rather illiquid.Liquidity here means the ability to get in and out of the counters easily.
Suggest you spread your capital of RM10,000 on any of the above two counters except if you buy Bkawan then avoid KLK and vice versa.
However do your own analysis and invest at your own risk.
