Hi Jeff..

I am just like you, learning TA.

Presently i am reading Technical Analysis from A to Z by Steven B. Achellis, the desinger of metaStock - the most popular technical analysis program in the world. The book is a quick-read, 2-to 4-page sections for over 135 indicators, including overviews, interpretations, and examples for each.

Happy learning Jeff.

Hi Jeff,
Welcome to TalkandShare.
Don't expect easy money to be easily made. What is easy to learn and master is usually worth little and of little use.
Investment is serious business. You need to put in the appropriate toll to be skillful at it.
Happy learning!

Hi Jeff,

I bought the book at MPH MidValley for RM159.80.

As for the indicators, you will have to test them yourself as different analyst prefers different tools.

Happy Learning Jeff.

Welcome to Talkandshare.
I do not think the focus should be on indicators. TA is NOT about indicators.
System test will tell you that even the best indicators has less than 50% accuracy. And that is system test - assuming one has no issue of emotional or circumstantial execution etc.

Hi Max, if TA is not about indicator, then wat is important for TA?

Good question. Let me answer it by asking you a question - WHAT is TA?

Erm... good question, i m not too sure perhaps.

Just using my understanding to answer it. From wat i noe i think TA is using past data (e.g chart or graph) to predict the future with assumption tat history will repeat.

It's just my opinion, correct me if i m wrong.
