Ttt,
Thanks for the link...

Max,
haha... i'm not looking for 100% accuracy la... i am also aware tat it is impossible... my problem is this, when i was trading stocks, i am able to identity the specific price of entry and exit of the counters i trade... and i can trade without monitoring them...

However, as i have just started trading FKLI recently, i find tat i am unable to find the best price of entry and exit... i am also unable to trade without monitoring... and sometimes, i get jittery after i went in (which had not happened when i traded stocks for a very long time)...

for example, when i shorted the market, sometimes the price still goes up... although eventually, it will come back down as expected, but tat also shows my price is not the best entry price... so, when this happens, i started to wonder, is it possible to decide the price of entry and exit without monitoring? or is it with my skills... or is it because of the market and future itself is too volatile to predetermine the entry and exits? or i needed more time to adjust to the methods of play and the volatility before i really assess my accuracy? or i just expected too much out of myself and TA? this is why i still feel something missing... maybe i need to factor in regional or US markets as well? hmm... or maybe i just need to give myself more time to adjust and adapt to this new volatile play... :)

RL,
You hit the mark on 2 key issues here:
1) Volatility - so your "normal" system for stocks needs to be adjusted to account for the volatility in futures. Measuring volatility, normally ppl use ATR.
Due to this volatility, much of it is noise. Perfect entry and exit is impossible due to this. Sometimes we may get lucky and entered at exact bottom and exit at exact top. Sometimes its the other way round.
Due to this also, decision making needs to be super fast - well, at least as fast as the velocity of the movements.
And remember I said - all method works but depends on preferences, trading system/plan, TIME, etc?

2) Jittery - that is Emotional Control. Stakes are higher so naturally you ll have to strengthen your emotional controls.

And yes - it is possible to trade without constant monitoring. Depends on the system your using and the emotional control you have.

A very reliable short pattern which has high yield potential. FOr the sake of discussion, would anyone like to point the name of this pattern?

NB: Of course, I am NOT trading the Saudi market, not yet anyway :P
