For Discussion purpose:

The price of LionD surged to 3.10 from 1.58 ex-price on 9th Oct after it split from Parkson.

The price went down thereafter for 6 consecutive days and closed 1.65 today.
It is scary to watch the selling pressure keep pushing down the price.

However, this is the right time to look at the value of LIONDIV.

LionD now is pure Steel counter, the main Biz is DRI plant next to Megasteel. As per TTB of Icap, the fair value for DRI alone worth RM3.00 (ie 10 x EPS of 0.30 per share)

LionD owned RM500 mil redeemable convertable loan stock of Parkson from the split exercise. This alone worth 1,000 mil (if convert to 125 mil parkson shares at Mkt price of RM8.00), equivalent to RM1.35 per shares.

LionD also owned certain % shares of Megasteel, LionInd.

AND it is CASH RICH after disposing certain % of Parkson China before the split exercise.

AND it is most likely to undertake an M&A exercise to restructuring again the Lion Group of company.(ie LionD, LionCor & LionInd)

At today closing of 1.65, it is undervalue & unbelievably CHEAP!

DO YOU SEE VALUE IN LIONDIV?
PLS COMMENT ! TQ

hello,
i personally dont know anything about FA, however, the problem i see with FA is tat how we value something is different and is very subjective... for example, you may think the price now is cheap based on FA, but there will be others tat think it is still too high...

Value itself is based on the perception of the individual itself...

On the TA part, give me some time ya... will put some up later... hehe...

Regards...

Hmmmm........, I dont wait to get the price adjusted. I will wait for the support come first, then buy signal from TA chart, then only to decide if it is the right time to go in.

FA:
- Saying that, as now the stock is of now different entity after its separation from Parkson in terms of core business running, and the steel counter is one that is least exciting in terms of bullishness ( try assessing the Ornastel trend and see...!). How it fairs, in terms of ROA/ROE/EPS Growth Rate etc will only be tested with time.
- Afterall, it's FA. One needs to evaluate the past performance and results.

TA:
- Its in the distribution phase. Where is the bottom, I don't know. As right now if one is going in, tomorrow it may go even further down.

--> My conclusion: Just wait and monitor for the distribution to get over and where the support is formed, then enter with a buy signal.

-------------------- -------------------

Ask me, how do I know about this? The same happened to me when I was just venturing into this dark jungle of money, buying my first few stocks......heeeee.!

-------------------- -------------------- ----------

Just my 2 cent thought..! :-P

hi Tee,
Erm... great discussion on the FA part...

about the TA,
it will be quite risky if you use the data without the price adjust... the support or resistance may or may not be accurate... if you are waiting for buy signal (especially using indicators), things get real dangerous, as you know the price will be haphazard...
it has entered distribution phase, i would not be able to know yet, because it is:
1) too early to tell
2) data is not adjusted... hehe... :P

regards...

oh ya... btw, just because a counter is out of uptrend, it may not definitely means it will be in downtrend or distribution stage... hehe... there may or may not be another movement called the range movement...

Regards.....

Hi RL, be patient.....the chart will show..!

Besides that, look at Liondiv's chart and comparing to Price and volume options below, which one would one tick?

1. Rising price, high volume - hmmmm, good!
2. Rising Price , low volume - stock losing steam
3. Declining price, high volume - Trouble is coming!
4. Declining price, low volume - Stock is to bottoming out.

-------------------- -------------------- --------

Finally, patience ad be patient. it doesn't matter what.....chart will showwww, chart will showwww...hheeeee..!

-------------------- --------------------

2 cent thought..!
