How will the election affects the stock market?
If BN win not much, will the stock market drop?

This is strictly from my own common sense:
1. It depends on the assumption of people who sold before the election. If majority sell assuming opposition will win BIG, they already get what they want and the KLCI won't drop much. No surprises. And also applies those who buy before election. If they buy hoping BN will win big, they will sell next week. If they buy because it's cheap, they will buy more next week. If the sellers panic tomorrow, it will drop a lot. If they are calm knowing this could be the case before election, the market will not drop much. If you ask around people who trade stocks for the last few weeks, you can get an rough idea of how it could fare.
2. An European Hedge fund was having trouble.
3. US Friday closing is triple-digit loss. JOb report not good. US Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke predicted an official recession next month as GDP turns negative.
All these are considered bad news to me. Of course, I should tell everyone to calm down to prevent unnecessary losses in KLSE.

No way for the market to be positive, come Monday. Be prepared to see the FKLI gap down at least 10 points. As for equities, a blanket of red appearing in your screen is most likely.
