Be a bear in a bear market and a bull in a bull market.
If US slips into a recession, the markets of the world will be affected.

I will rather say,
Be a hunter in a bear market. Hunt for cheap beaten stock.
Be a milkmaid in a bull market. Milk the bull .... and get the milk shake.

Those sentences are ideal for anybody. However, the problem is when emotion takes over, and those are easier said than done, if we are now a season investor/trader.
