Well, he might have a good intention but i'm on the opposite site.
To me, world ecomony is very different from the past and is going through a transformation due to the emergence of China. To really understand the ecomony today, we have to first, study and fully understand the huge and very complex of Deng's reforms and its development and impact or cause effect it bring to today economy. In short, the world economy is in a very favourable condition (thanks to her economy) and will last a very long time to come, so does the stock market. Of course, there will be some bears in between the bulls but the long term trend is up but VERY volatile. I wouldn't be preoccupied with such kind of price movement as a long term investor as this will swing my emotion and may end up making wrong decisions.
The direction of the stock market in the short term is very irrational but will move in lock-step with ecomomic fundamentals and performance of their respective country in the long term trend.
In short, my view and humble opinion is still that the KLSE will reach 2,000 point in 2 to 3 years time. (is it too long for some of you ? )
If yes, i'm sorry for i'm a really a long term investor and i always go against the crowd and try to be lonely there. Hehe

No one can be absolutely sure what is going to happen to the market because the market is affected by too many factors.
Great traders do not predict, they follow the trend. In my opinion, our market is presently undergoing a correction; it is not a reversal of trend.

edmundtts, technically you lost by 1.6pts.. realistically, we didn't gain much from today weak market (556 losers to 279 gainers).. let's call it even then..

I do see some similarity of current mkt vs. Jul.07 mkt. drifting composite index with many counters falling.. and the accounting scam...

Is KLCI forming a head and shoulder (22/Oct ~ 23/Nov)? not the shampoo lah..haha.

As long as Analab remain below 1.00, the klci wont go down. If Analab go up and reach 1.40, better watch out, because when a stock like analab go up, it is a sign of something realy, really wrong in the market.
